Our flagship line, Bulgarian and Organic Bulgarian Yogurt, in non-fat and premium (made with whole milk) varieties, enjoy the largest and widest range of acceptance in the market place. As the name suggests, our yogurt is traditional and ethnic by nature. Its slightly tart flavor, smooth texture and bacteria content sets it apart from all other yogurts on the market. With one of the highest levels of beneficial live bacteria (CFU) per serving (up to 90 billion), White Mountain Yogurt supports our digestive and immune systems, helps with the absorption of food nutrients, and is an important part of our consumer’s health regimen.
Our customers with a cultural history of eating yogurt, European, Middle Eastern and Asian, find our yogurts to be reminiscent of their old family recipes. Many customers, individuals and restaurants, use our yogurt in their traditional dishes and drinks.
White Mountain Foods Yogurt is made the old-fashioned way using nothing more than Grade A pasteurized milk, culture (the beneficial bacteria L. Acidophilus, L. Bulgaricus, S. Thermophilus, and B. Bifidum) and time. Packed in glass to protect the flavor and the environment, the result is a luscious, old world-style yogurt that contains absolutely no added chemicals, ph modifiers, sweeteners, flavor enhancers, stabilizers or thickening agents of any kind.
Our yogurt contains no artificial hormones (rBST, rBGH)
What makes our yogurt so popular? Our yogurt is a staple food. It is not a sweetened, preserved, thickened, pasteurized desert. A staple food fulfills our body’s need for nutrients and at the same time supports our immune system. Foods that have been engineered for taste, texture and shelf life are more of an entertainment item and usually cause more damage than any good they may provide. Our bodies can feel the difference. White Mountain Foods Yogurt is as much a part of our customers diet as water, bread, meat, vegetables and fruit.
The combination of bacteria and the fermenting process we use to produce our Bulgarian Yogurt allow many of those that are lactose intolerant to consume our products. Our yogurt aids in the digestion and absorption of vitamins and nutrients, including calcium, and replenishes healthy flora in the digestive system following antibiotic treatment and chemo-therapy.
Our Bulgarian-style yogurt is the highest quality yogurt on the market. Both Premium and Nonfat varieties are available in safety-sealed, recyclable glass jars, in pint (16oz), quart (32oz), and gallon (128oz plastic container) sizes. Our Organic yogurt is available in a retail quart (32oz) size and a gallon (128oz plastic container) institutional size.
