Ginger Peach Smoothie

Hello White Mountain Yogurt Fans!!

 

Last week we took part in the Peach Festival at Whole Foods Market at Lamar & 6th in Austin, TX. Our task was to produce a fabulous Peach Smoothie using our Live Culture Yogurt. Customer responses to our Fabulous Ginger Peach Smoothies were phenomenal.  The main advantage for the customer was the simplicity & affordability of the yogurt drink. Many customers had one similar comment... "This is a GREAT way to get my kids to eat yogurt on a daily basis. I know they will love it & there are so many variations that they will never get tired of it!" Well, we agree, so we'd like to share the recipe (and some other variations) with you. We hope all of you enjoy them as much as the folks at the festival did. Love & Peaches to you all!!

 

FABULOUS GINGER PEACH SMOOTHIE ©

 

Depending on how many people you are serving & the size of your BLENDER:

 

50% White Mountain Yogurt

 

50% Frozen Un-Sweetened Peaches

(In other words, Fruit to Yogurt ratio is 1:1)

 

Add Honey (or Rice Syrup, Raw Sugar or Agave Syrup) to sweeten (not TOO much. You want to keep the tartness of the fruit & yogurt. If you do it right, it should taste as if you've added Lemon to the mix).

 

Add just enough Vanilla to make it noticeable.

 

Add Crystallized Ginger pieces (again, just enough so that you can detect the Ginger but without overpowering the other flavors. The best way to achieve this is to add a few pieces at a time as you do the blending).

 

Blend to desired consistency & serve immediately while frozen fruit is still ice cold!! YUMMMYYY!!!

 

VARIATIONS:

 

We added a small amount of natural Mint Essence & some "Blond" Dates for sweetness with great results. Almost everyone really liked that Hint-o-Mint!

? Dates Maple Syrup Vanilla Almond Essence

? Nectarine Mint Peach

? Persimmon Peach

? Honeydew Melon Cinnamon Essence Raw Sugar

? Coconut (Milk & Shavings mix) Honey Ginger Lime Essence Peach

? Nutmeg Lime Papaya

? Lime Mint Ginger Peach

You can also try fresh herbs & veggies such as cucumbers etc.

 

As you can see, the possibilities are endless. All you need is an excellent all-natural live yogurt (such as White Mountain's... ok ok, you already knew that!) and a little bit of imagination & a bunch of hungry kids, family or friends!
